Inclusivity is about getting an invitation to join in, however belonging is the felt experience when you get there. When we feel belonging, we feel motivated to do our best work, build trust with others, collaborate, and express our ideas in the workplace.
According to a 2022 McKinsey study, over 50% of people who left their jobs in the last 6 months, didn’t feel valued by their organisation or manager and lacked a sense of belonging.
But how do you create a sense of belonging in your organisation, when everybody’s needs are so different?
We know that you need actionable strategies – practical ways to help you build belonging. We’ll explore how co-design can be used to empower and engage with those who may feel marginalised or disconnected and the six levers of belonging to create impactful solutions.
